Who we are
A furniture factory is only as good as the second container. Anyone can make one good sample. We build the jigs, the weave templates and the finish records that keep piece number 400 identical to the one you approved.
Soonmao is the furniture division of Zhuzhou Soonmao Furniture Co., Ltd., working out of Zhuzhou, Hunan. We make seating, tables, beds and storage in rattan, solid ash and aluminium — for buyers who need contract-grade consistency rather than a catalogue price.

From drawing to container, without a translation layer.
We work directly with the people who specify the furniture. No trading company in between, no re-quoting of your own specification.
- 01Shop drawings in 48 hours. Section details, joinery, weave density, hardware and a costed bill of materials.
- 02Value engineering that you can see. When we substitute a material or simplify a joint, the saving and the trade-off are both written down.
- 03Compliance built in. Fire, stability and finish standards for your market are specified before sampling, not tested afterwards.
Process
Five stages. Nothing skipped.
Every project runs on the same sequence, whether it is 20 chairs or a 300-key hotel.
Brief
Tell us the project: hotel, restaurant, residence or retail. Send drawings, mood boards, photos or a competitor sample. Quantities and target price help us answer precisely.
Specification
We return a buildable spec within one business day: section sizes, joinery, weave pattern, finish, packing. If a detail is not manufacturable, we propose the closest workable alternative and explain the cost.
Sample
A production-intent sample is built in 7–10 days and shipped by air. You approve material, colour, weave density and comfort before we cut a single production frame.
Production
Frames are cut, shaped, sanded and woven on dedicated lines. QC holds three checkpoints: bare frame, pre-finish and packed carton. Photo reports at each stage.
Delivery
Export packing, container loading plan, and full documentation (packing list, invoice, FSC or test reports where required). Delivery against approved delivery marks.

Resort terrace, 42 keys
Full outdoor dining and lounge set in teak and wicker, packed to a per-key numbering system so the installers could place pieces room by room.
Private residence, Hunan
Indoor lounge and dining in solid ash with natural rattan, finished to a warm neutral palette requested by the interior architect.
Pool deck refurbishment
Powder-coated aluminium loungers and side tables rated for salt air, delivered in two phased shipments to keep the deck partially open.

Straight answers before you send an RFQ.
Yes. Roughly 80% of what we ship starts as a customer drawing, a designer's sketch or a reference photo. We do the shop drawings, engineer the frame for your market's stability and fire requirements, then build a sample for approval.
20 pieces per SKU as a rule, and we consolidate mixed orders into a 40HQ container. For a first order, smaller trial quantities are possible on stock weaves and finishes.
Sample in 7–10 days, production 30–45 days after sample approval, plus 25–35 days sea freight to Europe or the US East Coast. We plan backwards from your opening date.

Soonmao returns to Canton Fair Phase 2
Phase 2 of the 140th Canton Fair runs 23–27 October at Pazhou. We are showing all fifteen outdoor pieces, six solid ash chairs and the complete weave library on stand 11.2 C24.
The 2026 outdoor collection: four families, one platform
Solstice, Dune, Coral and Palm now share a single 1.5 mm aluminium platform, one powder specification and one wicker library — which means a scheme can be specified across all four families without a colour match problem.
ISO 9001 recertified; FSC now covers ash
The three-year surveillance audit closed with no major findings and two minor observations, both already corrected. FSC chain of custody has been extended from packaging board to the solid ash we buy.
