How to specify
Prices depend on four things — none of them hidden.
- 01Weave density. Open cane takes about 4 hours per seat. Tight herringbone takes 11. The difference is labour, not material.
- 02Solid vs veneered. Full solid ash is 18–25% more expensive and 8–12% heavier. On a fixed frame, veneer usually wins.
- 03Finish system. Natural oil is cheaper and repairable; matte lacquer is more uniform and better for contract cleaning regimes.
- 04Packing. Carton for LCL, crate for full containers with mixed SKUs. Crating adds roughly 6% to volume.
Indoor specification
Frames are kiln-dried to 8–10% moisture content, assembled with mortise-and-tenon joints and finished with a low-VOC matte lacquer. Rattan is hand-woven from Indonesian natural cane.
Contract builds add corner blocks, commercial foam and a stability test to EN 16139.
