Phase 2 of the 140th Canton Fair opens on 23 October, and for the first time Soonmao is bringing the complete outdoor range to Guangzhou. Phase 2 covers furniture, garden and outdoor products and runs 23–27 October at the Canton Fair Complex in Pazhou.
The stand is 11.2 C24 in Hall 11.2. The team on site is not only the sales desk: two of the sample makers who build these pieces travel with us, so questions about weave tension, frame thickness or how a corner is welded get answered by the person who does it.

Alongside the outdoor pieces we are showing six solid ash chairs from the indoor collections — Koa, Vela and Norr — because most buyers who walk the outdoor hall are sourcing indoor seating for the same project. Seeing both materials in one place is the fastest way to decide whether a scheme should be all-timber or mixed.
What a buyer can actually check at the stand
A photograph tells you the shape. It does not tell you whether the chair will still be square after two summers on a hotel terrace. So the stand is set up to be handled:
- Cut sections. A sawn frame corner and a sawn cushion, so the wall thickness, the welds and the foam grade are visible instead of claimed.
- The weave library. Eighteen weaves by twelve colours on A5 boards, plus the same weaves after 1,500 hours of QUV exposure so fading is a comparison, not a promise.
- Weight and stack tests. Pass criteria from the buyer's own standard — EN 581, BIFMA X5.1 or a house spec — applied on the stand where it can be done by hand.
Factory visits during the fair
Zhuzhou is roughly two and a half hours from Guangzhou by high-speed rail. Buyers who want to see the workshop rather than the stand can take a morning train and be back in Pazhou the same evening; we run a shuttle from Zhuzhou West station and reserve two visit slots per fair day. Bring the project drawings — the value of a factory visit is that changes can be priced on the spot.
The fair is where a relationship starts. The workshop is where you find out whether it holds. We would rather have a buyer see both before they place a first order.

- After the fair: the full range stays available for sampling, and shop drawings for any piece on the stand can be issued within 48 hours.
If you cannot make Phase 2, send the reference pieces you are working from and we will photograph the equivalent in our own range, with dimensions and FOB, within one business day.
